  • IDPs (internally displaced people) who have fled attacks on their villages by the Janjaweed militia drink early morning tea at Meshtel camp, where they have settled. They have no shelters there: their homes are the mats they are sitting on.
  • Azahir Adam Harun, a 12 year old girl who fled her village in with her family when Janjaweed mlitia attacked in December 2003, is pictured in her classroom at the school for displaced people in Ardamatta camp, 'The previous school was better than this one,' she says.
